It Was Nice Not to Make Decisions All the Time

“In the early spring, I flew out to Montana to pick him up. After a long flight to San Francisco, and a stop in Seattle, I made my way to Missoula by way of a rickety old twin prop airplane. Sitting on the tarmac, the crew of the plane had to run out and jump-start it because the piece of shit wouldn’t turn over. Oh well, I figured. Sometimes I had this attitude that I would just leave it up to fate. It was nice not to make decisions all the time.”
